Dear Colleagues,

Digital transformation has revolutionized how companies connect with customers, how they operate, how business models are conceived, and how they are organized. It is about integrating digital technologies for transforming how businesses operate. The integration of digital technologies into business processes has become very important for the survival and competitive advantage of contemporary organizations. Leadership and Innovation focus primarily on organizational performance, emphasizing the role of leadership as solving business problems. It is a company's strategic asset that contributes to its competitive advantage. When looking for a competitive advantage that may result from a digital transformation strategy, researchers are increasingly recognizing that human and intellectual capital are key components.

The arrival of the digital age is causing changes in human resource management systems. This has led to the rise of Leadership and Innovation – an extension of strategic human resource management. Leadership and Innovation is a typical cross-functional task that is not only becoming more and more important at the strategic level of a company, but also perfectly echoes one of the UN’s sustainable development goals: decent work and economic growth; that is, to promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment, and decent work for all.
