Analysis of Hybrid Microgrids in Distribution Systems

Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
As we well know,microgrids are small-scale energy grids that can operate in on-grid or off-grid mode relative to the main grid. They can contain any form of generated energy sources, including electricity, heat, etc., for storage and consumption. The concept is assumed to produce energy near to consumption points, in a such way to optimize the local operation of the electrical distribution systems.
This Special Issue focuses on all aspects of Microgrids from distribution systems ,advances in modelling and analysis, and the design of hybrid microgrids. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
AC, DC, and AC–DC hybrid microgrids;
Small-scale renewable energies and storage for microgrids;
Multiple microgrid clusters;
Microgrids and nanogrids for rural areas and in developing countries;
Microgrids for electrical vehicle charging stations;
Advanced control techniques for microgrids;
Smart metering and power quality for microgrids;
The Internet of Things and energy internet for multiple microgrids;
The digital twin for microgrids;
